open House 2009 - VIDEo Part 2
Many of the shooters claimed they thought they were supposed to "get close" but not "actually hit" the Tannerite - I didn't buy it, and neither should you.
The video backgrounds turn blue when they are ready to be viewed. Please be patient.
Missing the Target - Act I
This is when we had the Tannerite at 200 yards - we did not want to make it "too easy". You can barely see it mounted on top of a pole in front of the target rack. The most memorable part of this video is Mark Rosenzweig counseling the shooter that if he was afraid of the recoil from the 0.308, he should "buy a dog".
Missing the Target - Act II
OK, new plan. We thought that more bullets would increase our chances of hitting the Tannerite (still at 200 yards). We were wrong.
Missing the Target - Act III
Wait, new-new plan. We'll get one of our best shooters and let him use our biggest rifle... Surely, that would work. We were wrong again. Although, I would like to think we were "less wrong" than in Act II. In hindsight, I don't know what we were thinking.
Missing the Target - Act IV
Alright, screw plans. Lets move the Tannerite up to 100 yards... We found out that Tannerite is a more elusive quarry than we had bargained for.
